Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde has reportedly been deemed unsellable amid speculation surrounding a possible move to Bayern Munich.
The European and World champions allegedly tried to prise the Uruguayan away from the Bernabeu last summer after Thiago Alcantara's departure, but Real Madrid refused to consider a sale and he remained in the Spanish capital.
Valverde has had to deal with his fair share of injury woes this term, but according to Marca, Bayern's interest in the midfielder has not dwindled and they are still keen to strike a deal for him this summer.
However, even though Real Madrid are one of several sides struggling financially amid the coronavirus pandemic, the report adds that Valverde is one of the few unsellable players within Zinedine Zidane's ranks.
With Casemiro suspended for Tuesday's Champions League last-16 second leg with Atalanta, Valverde will be given the opportunity to impress in the middle of the park as Real attempt to build on their 1-0 lead from the first leg.
The 22-year-old remains contracted to the La Liga champions until 2025 and is understood to be happy at Real, where he boasts three goals and one assist in 18 top-flight appearances this term.
