Villarreal have progressed to the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey following a 3-2 aggregate win over Real Sociedad.
The Yellow Submarine had claimed a 1-0 victory in last week's first leg, and after a 2-2 draw this evening they booked their place in the last eight.
The visitors created the first chance of the match when Manuel Trigueros was picked out by Gerard Moreno before turning and firing in a volley that was tipped wide by Geronimo Rulli.
Villarreal then took the lead in the 27th minute through Moreno, who collected Giovani dos Santos's pass and curled an effort into the bottom corner.
Moi Gomez almost grabbed a second for the visitors after he worked some room inside the box and fired in a low shot that was blocked by the keeper.
On the stroke of half time Sociedad found the net when Imanol Agirretxe's header was saved by Sergio Asenjo, and Carlos Vela reacted quickly to slot in the rebound from close range.
At the start of the second half Mateo Musacchio saw his header kept out by Rulli as the visitors looked to regain their lead.
In the 73rd minute Villarreal were able to score for the second time as Dos Santos made the most of a defensive mix-up to calmly fire past the keeper.
Sociedad responded well to that setback and they equalised two minutes later when Esteban Granero latched on to Vela's chipped pass over the defence, before smashing a volley into the roof of the net.
The hosts still needed two more goals and their hopes of winning the tie were given a boost when Musacchio was sent off for a foul on Agirretxe.
However, they were unable to find the net again as Villarreal held on to confirm their passage to the next round.
