Real Sociedad have confirmed that former Manchester United manager David Moyes is on their radar in the search for Jagoba Arrasate's successor.
The Spanish club parted company with coach Arrasate on Sunday following a 1-0 defeat to Malaga, a result that left Sociedad second from bottom in La Liga.
Moyes was reported to be frontrunner for the position earlier this week, and La Real president Jokin Aperribay reveals that the Scot, along with ex-West Bromwich Albion boss Pepe Mel, are among those under consideration.
"It's not a question of waiting for a reply from the coaches we have spoken to," Aperribay told reporters at a press conference.
"A number of names have been mentioned in the press, it's true that we have been in contact with Pepe Mel and David Moyes but we are also talking to a number of other coaches."
The 51-year-old has been out of management since being sacked by United in April following an ill-fated 11-month spell at Old Trafford.
