New York Red Bulls have been held to a 2-2 draw at home to the Seattle Sounders FC in the Eastern Conference.
The visitors started brightly at the Red Bull Arena and after coming close on a number of occasions they found the opening goal in the 16th minute.
Adam Johansson produced a dangerous cross and Alvaro Fernandez managed to find space within the box to place his shot past Bill Gaudette.
However, the Sounders were not ahead for long as Sebastien Le Toux collected the ball just inside the area and smashed his shot home to make the scores level.
New York took control of the match following the goal and Thierry Henry started to become more prominent in the match but Seattle's defence remained firm to head into the break level.
The second half started in the same open fashion as the first period and Connor Lade should have put the Red Bulls ahead when he was put through by Henry but the midfielder couldn't hit the target with his shot.
New York did take the lead in spectacular fashion in the 61st minute when Joel Lindpere received the ball outside the box before unleashing an effort that flew past a helpless Bryan Meredith.
The hosts could not preserve their lead and the match was level just six minutes later when Fredy Montero converted Brad Evans's cross with a well placed shot.
Despite plenty of attacking play by both sides in the final stages, no more goals were scored and the points were shared.
