Rochdale have signed goalkeeper Robbie Thomson on a one-year deal.
The 20-year-old, who was a free agent after recently leaving Scottish Premier League champions Celtic, had been on trial at Spotland.
Dale boss Keith Hill has admitted that he is pleased to bring another keeper to his League Two side.
"Having witnessed what his capabilities are, Robbie is in sync with what I expect from a goalkeeper," Hill told the club's official website.
"We'll continue to develop him and give him an opportunity. It's great that we've brought him in as a rival to Josh Lillis.
"With the recruitment of Robbie, we've got two very capable goalkeepers."
Thomson had loan spells with Scottish sides Stenhousemuir and Airdrie last season.
