SBV Excelsior have reached the last four of the KNVB Beker thanks to a comfortable 4-1 victory over Roda JC in this evening's quarter-final.
In difficult conditions at Parkstad Limburg Stadion, Eredivisie outfit Excelsior took the lead after a quarter of an hour when Ninos Gouriye slotted home after a poor goal kick from Benjamin van Leer.
The visitors were three up by half time thanks to two quick goals from Jurgen Mattheij and Tom van Weert.
The second half was a messier affair, with Roda pulling a goal back through Anco Jansen before Van Weert reestablished Excelsior's three-goal advantage in the last 10 minutes.
Excelsior advance to the semi-finals and are now one win away from reaching their second KNVB Beker final.
