Roda JC have made a winning start on their return to the Eredivisie by claiming a 3-1 victory over Heracles this evening.
Iliass Bel Hassani gave the visitors the lead in the 31st minute when he was found by Brahim Darri on the edge of the box, before working some space and drilling a low effort into the bottom corner.
Roda were not behind for long, as just four minutes later Edwin Gyasi exchanged passes with Anco Jansen and burst into the box before sliding the ball past the stranded Bram Castro.
The hosts then took the lead at the start of the second half when Tom van Hyfte reacted quickly to fire the ball in from close range after it had come back off the post.
In the final minute Hicham Faik added a third goal, as Roda started their season back in the top flight with all three points.
