Roma head into Thursday's Europa Conference League fixture with Bodo/Glimt looking to record their third successive victory in Group C.

However, the home side, who have collected four points against the same opposition, will move to the top of the group if they prevail in Norway.

Match preview

Having witnessed his Roma side suffer three successive away defeats in Serie A, Jose Mourinho is aware that momentum is no longer with his team.

Nevertheless, while Roma continue to remain in the top four of the standings, the Portuguese will feel confident about the progression of this squad.

The Europa Conference League is helping maintain a strong competition for places, two much-changed lineups scoring eight goals against CSKA Sofia and Zorya Luhansk.

Despite having already gained a stranglehold in Group C, Mourinho will use the disappointment of losing to Juventus on Sunday as motivation to overcome their next opponents.

Tammy Abraham will be looking to score for a third European game in succession after netting twice during substitute appearances in the previous double-header.

From Bodo/Glimt's perspective, they will feel that they can perform without pressure on Thursday night after already getting four points on the board,

Kjetil Knutsen will have one eye on the team's domestic schedule with trips to Stromsgodset and title rivals Molde to come within a week of the encounter against Roma.

Nevertheless, whoever takes to the pitch later this week will want to do everything to record one of their best-ever results, as well take a further step towards qualification for the knockout stages in Europe for the first time.

Amahl Pellegrino has been in excellent form since his arrival in August, the 31-year-old attacker netting six times from 11 outings in all competitions.

Team News

Roma will be without Nicolo Zaniolo for this game after the playmaker sustained a knee injury at the weekend.

Stephan El Shaarawy should take his place on the right flank, while Eldor Shomurodov and Marash Kumbulla are also in line for recalls.

Amadou Diawara and Carles Perez are further options in midfield and attack respectively if Mourinho wants to introduce more fresh legs.

Although there is every chance that Knutsen will stick with the team which defeated Sarpsborg, it would come as no surprise if he made a couple of alterations.

Marius Hoibraten, Hugo Vetlesen and Gilbert Koomson are all realistic alternatives for Bodo/Glimt.

Bodo/Glimt possible starting lineup:
Haikin; Sampsted, Moe, Lode, Bjorkan; Fet, Berg, Konradsen; Solbakken, Bothiem, Pellegrino

Roma possible starting lineup:
Patricio; Karsdorp, Kumbulla, Ibanez, Vina; Diawara, Veretout; El Shaarawy, Pellegrini, Perez; Shomurodov

We say: Bodo/Glimt 1-3 Roma

Bodo/Glimt showed during the opening game of the group that home advantage can help them progress from this group. However, despite the likelihood of alterations, we fully expect Roma to have too much quality in the final third for their hosts.
