Goals from Stefano Mauri and Felipe Anderson have given Lazio a 2-0 half-time lead over Roma in the Derby della Capitale this afternoon.
Antonio Candreva had the first chance of the match when he received the ball just inside the box and bent an effort inches wide of the far post.
It was Lazio who were posing more of a threat and they scored the opening goal in the 25th minute, as Anderson clipped a ball into the area that was volleyed in from close range by Mauri.
The Biancocelesti added a second just four minutes later through Anderson, who collected the ball just outside the box and drilled a low shot into the bottom corner.
Roma struggled to come up with a response, as a tempestuous first half ended with Lazio firmly in command.
