Roma have confirmed that Gervinho is likely to be out of action for three weeks with a hamstring injury picked up on international duty.
The forward was forced off in the first half of Ivory Coast's 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea on Sunday, and is now expected to miss the games against Napoli, Torino and Atalanta.
A statement from the club read: "Gervinho underwent tests which revealed a first grade tear in his right thigh. He will likely be unavailable for three weeks.
"From tomorrow, he will begin rehabilitation."
Roma currently sit second in Serie A, one point clear of rivals Lazio.
