Roma coach Rudi Garcia has claimed that midfielder Kevin Strootman "became a player again" after returning to action after an eight-month layoff in Sunday's 3-0 win over Torino.
The Dutchman earned a 10-minute cameo at the Stadio Olimpico to mark his return after suffering cruciate ligament damage back in March.
Strootman, 24, also missed the World Cup finals with the Netherlands as a result of his injury.
"Kevin became a player again tonight, that was the most important thing. He's not 100%, but the fact he's here at all gives us joy," a delighted Garcia told reporters.
"He got to play about 10 minutes and enjoyed them."
Goals from Vasilios Torosidis, Seydou Keita and Adem Ljajic was enough for the Giallorossi to claim the win.
