Newly-appointed Roma coach Rudi Garcia has said that Francesco Totti and Daniele de Rossi are integral to his plans at the Stadio Olimpico.
The Frenchman, who was unveiled last week, stated that his aim is to get the Giallorossi back into Europe.
He believes that, with the absence of European football, a less congested fixture list will help to achieve that goal, as will the influence of his two star players.
"I'm sorry not to be playing in Europe, but the good thing is that we won't play every three days," Sky Sports News quotes Garcia as saying.
"We will try to make it back into Europe next season.
"We need talented players and luckily we have them. Totti and De Rossi are important players who will have a role on and off the pitch."
Garcia won the double with Les Dogues in 2011.
