Roma have confirmed that Francesco Totti suffered hamstring damage in last week's clash with Napoli, ruling him out of action at least their next two matches.
Totti limped off during the first half of Roma's 2-0 win at the Stadio Olimpico on Friday, a victory that kept the Giallorossi's 100% start to Serie A alive.
After having tests this afternoon, Roma have announced that Totti will be re-examined in 10 days' time, initially ruling him out of games against Udinese and Chievo.
The 37-year-old has helped Roma make their best-ever start to a Serie A campaign, scoring three goals to help his side build a five-point lead at the top of the table.
Rudi Garcia's men will now be without their skipper until at least mid-November, with Marco Borriello likely to deputise in attack.
