KFUM Oslo and Rosenborg square off on Sunday with just two points separating the two teams in the Eliteserien table.
Although the home side hold that slender advantage, the visitors to the KFUM Arena currently possess a game in hand.
Match preview
Having only finished in ninth place in 2023, everyone associated with Rosenborg had hoped for a revival this time around.
That remains a work in progress, despite sitting in eighth position as it stands, with just six wins coming from their 16 matches.
Only three triumphs have been posted in their last 12, although Alfred Johansson's side did record a 1-0 victory over 13th-placed Tromso last time out.
As a result, Rosenborg have shot up the table, now sitting four points clear of the relegation zone, but they are still seven points adrift of the top four.
You have to go all the way back to April 21 to find Rosenborg's last success on their travels, a total of six games having passed by without an away win.
KFUM's target for the campaign was merely survival having earned promotion from the second tier as runners-up, but they have since emerged as one of the surprise packages of the season.
Just four defeats have been recorded in 17 outings, two of which came in succession just over a month ago, and a four-game unbeaten streak has since been put together.
After back-to-back victories over Tromso and Molde, an impressive 1-1 draw was recorded against leaders Bodo/Glimt before they played out a stalemate at Fredrikstad.
Johannes Moesgaard and his players will not start to dream of European qualification just yet, though, with just six points separating them from the bottom three.
Team News
Amin Nouri could be introduced at right wing-back for KFUM having been brought on the second half against Fredrikstad.
Despite failing to score last time out, Mame Nor Ndiaye should keep his place down the centre of the attack for the third game in succession.
Having come off the substitutes' bench to score against Tromso, Noah Jean Holm will hope to start in the final third for Rosenborg.
Should that change materialise, Jesper Reitan-Sunde could drop down to the substitutes' bench in what may prove to be the only alteration.
KFUM Oslo possible starting lineup:
Odegaard; H. Aleesami, A. Aleesami, M. L Nije; Nouri, Hestnes, Rasch, Hickson; Haltvik, Ndiaye, M. Njie
Rosenborg possible starting lineup:
Tangvik; Reitan, Ceide, Nemcik, Jenssen; Tagseth, Selnaes, Nypan; Broholm, Saeter, Holm
We say: KFUM Oslo 1-1 Rosenborg
If either of these teams are to challenge for the European places, they need to put together a string of wins and find their touch in front of goal. However, we feel that neither will materialise here, with a competitive game ending in a low-scoring draw.
