Sassuolo have battled back from a goal behind to beat Hellas Verona 2-1 at the Mapei Stadium this evening.
Luca Toni wasted a good chance to put the visitors ahead when heading over the bar early on, but it mattered little as Vangelis Moras powered home a minute later.
Sassuolo had a couple of opportunities to level the game before the interval, although Nicola Sansone could not find a way past Rafael between the sticks, while Francesco Magnanelli's long-range effort came back off the crossbar.
It took just five minutes of the second half for I Neroverdi to equalise, however, and it was Sansone who found the net with his well-taken strike.
Having found a way back into the game, Sassuolo pushed on and found a winner 13 minutes from time through Saphir Taider, who failed to play a single game during a loan spell at Southampton earlier this year - unleashing a first-time effort beyond Rafael.
Despite Toni's best efforts late on, the Gialloblu were unable to level things to ensure that they slip four points behind their opponents in the Serie A table.
