Chesterfield remain three points clear at the top of League Two after coming from behind to draw with second-placed Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park.
Scunthorpe, who have now drawn five matches in a row, went ahead against the run of play on 15 minutes when Sam Winnall netted his eighth goal in 12 games following neat play by strike partner Paddy Madden.
Chesterfield drew level in the final minute of the first half when Ritchie Humphreys was fouled by Terry Hawkridge in the penalty area, allowing Eoin Doyle to equalise from the spot.
The Spireites thought that they had taken the lead midway through the second period when Doyle found the net again, but his close-range strike was ruled out for offside.
