Kevin Doyle bagged an 84th-minute winner as Colorado Rapids secured three wins on the bounce with a 1-0 victory away to Seattle Sounders.
The Sounders started well and forced goalkeeper Clint Irwin into instant action when Thomas tried his luck from the edge of the box within a minute of kickoff.
The visitors eventually settled and Doyle sprung into action on the 20-minute mark after forcing Troy Perkins into a smart save, before Vicente Sanchez came perilously close to finding the top corner shortly before the break.
Andy Rose found himself with two good chances early in the second half - the latter of which was missed from within six yards as Irwin made the save.
Both sides continued to cancel each other out, but Doyle pounced with the winner in the final six minutes as the visitors extended their winning streak.
