Seattle Sounders have snapped a four-game losing streak to draw 1-1 with Los Angeles Galaxy and book their place in the MLS end-of-season playoffs.
Clint Dempsey's first-half goal had them on course for victory at Centurylink Field, but Robbie Keane equalised with just over 10 minutes remaining, which made it a nervous finish for the home fans.
However, they hung on to secure the point necessary to knock San Jose Earthquakes out of the equation.
It was a cross from Lamar Neagle that set up Dempsey for his goal in the 30th minute, and Galaxy keeper Jaime Penedo had to be on his toes to deny the winger from doubling the lead six minutes later.
The visitors applied pressure in the second half, which eventually told in the 77th minute when Keane headed home Hector Jimenez's cross.
Gyasi Zardes threatened to put Bruce Arena's men ahead soon after, but they had to settle for a point, which sees them finish third in the MLS Western Conference.
