Kevin Gameiro scored a hat-trick, his third coming from the penalty spot, as Sevilla ran out 5-0 winners against a 10-man Getafe side that conceded three spot kicks.
Yehven Konoplyanka went closest for the hosts in the opening stages as he released a shot which struck the base of the upright.
Gameiro had his first sight of goal after Vitolo split Getafe's central defenders with a cross, but the striker could not poke his effort past Getafe keeper Vicente Guaita.
In the 35th minute Gameiro did find the target as Guaita spilled an Ever Banega shot straight into the path of the Frenchman who bundled home.
The Gefafe stopper redeemed himself moments later, making an acrobatic save from Gamerio who had met a fizzed Konoplyanka cross.
Right before the half-time whistle, the Getafe defence was caught sleeping as Banega rolled a quick set piece to Gameiro who fired into the net for his brace.
Ukraine international Konoplyanka continued his heavy involvement in the game by winning a penalty soon after the restart, having been taken to the ground in the box by Carlos Vigaray.
Banega stepped up, focusing a stare on Guaita before calmly rolling his spot kick down the centre of the goal.
Vigaray committed a second foul in the penalty area minutes later, as he was shown his second yellow and Sevilla were awarded another penalty.
Gameiro, the player fouled by the Getafe left-back, drilled his effort into the bottom corner to seal his hat-trick.
Getafe conceded their third penalty of the night in the 80th minute when Wanderson charged into Mariano inside the area.
Konoplyanka mirrored Gameiro by driving his spot kick into the bottom corner as Sevilla took their tally for the night to five.
Sevilla move into 11th in La Liga with the win, jumping ahead of Getafe who fall to 12th.
