Relive Sports Mole's live commentary of the La Liga clash between Sevilla and Getafe at the Estadio Ramon, which ended in a 5-0 home win.

Sevilla welcomed Getafe to the Estadio Ramon on Saturday looking for a win that would have taken them into the top half of the La Liga table.

The hosts entered the break with a two-goal lead courtesy of a brace from in-form striker Kevin Gameiro.

It became 3-0 early in the second period when Ever Banega scored from the penalty spot, before Gameiro added his third from the spot after Carlos Vigaray had picked up his second yellow for another foul inside the box.

Getafe conceded their third penalty of the game in the 80th minute when Wanderson felled Mariano and Yevhen Konoplyanka stepped forward to make it five for the hosts.

Read how it all unfolded in Sports Mole's live minute-by-minute commentary of the action below.

So there we have it. The referee brings the second period to a close with Sevilla running out 5-0 winners against Getafe. The result has moved the hosts into ninth spot in the table, while Getafe haver dropped to 12th. Thanks for joining Sports Mole for the action. Good evening!
FULL-TIME: Sevilla 5-0 Getafe
Lago breaks forward for the visitors, but his strike was always moving wide of Rico's post. Spectators are starting to make their way towards the exits as we approach the final minutes. It is approaching 10.30 local time in Spain and there will be a good atmosphere in Seville tonight!
The home supporters are in wonderful voice as we approach the latter stages of what has been an excellent contest. I must say that I expected more from Getafe this evening, with the capital side entering this match off the back of three successive clean sheets and two wins from three games.
Vitolo again has an opportunity for the home team after an excellent run from Mariano, but the Spaniard fires wide of the post. This could have been seven or eight for Sevilla this evening.
Konoplyanka eats up the ground as he drives down the left before drilling a low cross towards Llorente, but it is eventually Vitolo that curls one wide of the post. Getafe survive that one!
Konoplyanka finds the bottom corner and Sevilla now lead 5-0 with 10 minutes remaining.
GOAL! Sevilla 5-0 Getafe (Konoplyanka, pen)
Sevilla have another penalty, their third of the game, as Wanderson bundles Mariano to the deck!
SEVILLA PENALTY!
Possession football from the home team as we approach the final 10 minutes and Getafe's legs seem to have gone as they shuffle across the pitch. Tremoulinas finds space down the left before delivering towards the head of Llorente, but the cross is just too strong and Getafe have a goal kick.
The referee looks as if he is going to award Sevilla another penalty as Vitolo goes down inside the box under a firm challenge from Lago, but at the final moment, the official pulls his whistle away.
Mariano, who has been a threat for Sevilla all evening, continues to drive down the right and looks to have found a fantastic pass into Krohn-Dehli, but Lago is across to clear for a corner. The resulting set piece is played short, but the danger is cleared and Wamberto carries it away.
In fairness to Getafe, they are still attempting to force the issue in the final third, but they look like conceding each time Sevilla manage to break. It remains 4-0 to the hosts in this one.
... SEVILLA SUB! Hat-trick hero Gameiro is replaced by Llorente.
Sevilla are preparing to make their final change here as Llorente receives his orders...
Not too surprising that both managers have looked to their bench in the last few minutes. Getafe's focus will already be switching to next weekend, while Sevilla's exertions away to Manchester City last week are bound to have taken their toll. Still more than 20 minutes left.
SEVILLA SUB! Sevilla make their second change as Krohn-Dehli replaces Banega.
Still more than 25 minutes of this match remaining and Getafe are taking a bit of a hammering at the moment. I would be surprised if we had seen the last of the goals at the Estadio Ramon.
GETAFE SUB! Suarez replaces Victor Rodriguez in Getafe's third change.
SEVILLA SUB! N'Zonzi replaces Iborra for the hosts.
Gameiro drills his effort into the bottom corner to make it four for the hosts.
GOAL! Sevilla 4-0 Getafe (Gameiro, pen. Hat-trick)
RED CARD! VIGARAY! Horror moment for Vigaray as the Getafe left-back picks up his second yellow card for conceding yet another penalty. This time, the defender brought Gameiro to the ground...
PENALTY SEVILLA!
Another half-chance for the home team as Banega flicks a wonderful little pass into Vitolo, but the Spaniard's touch is just too strong and Guaita is out to smother at the vital moment.
Little over 30 minutes of this contest remaining and Getafe have had the wind taken out of them following that third goal. Victor Rodriguez has the chance to threaten for the visitors after finding space outside the box, but his effort was always rising over the crossbar. Sevilla are comfortable now.
GETAFE SUBS! Wamberto and Buendia replace Leon and Sarabia.
Getafe are in all sorts of trouble at the moment as the home side continue to commit numbers forward, with Mariano and Tremoulinas almost playing as wingers. Double change on the way...
BOOKING! Juan Rodriguez (Getafe) now fells Banega to pick up a card.
BOOKING! Iborra (Sevilla) is booked for a tug on Juan Rodriguez.
Mariano is a man on a mission this evening as he continues to drive down the right for the home team and another super cross towards Gameiro is just headed clear by Lago. Getafe struggling!
No mistake from the Argentine as he gives Guaita the eyes before rolling his penalty straight down the middle. Calmness personified and in truth, that is all the points secure for the hosts.
GOAL! Sevilla 3-0 Getafe (Banega, pen)
BOOKING! Vigaray (Getafe) is penalised for bringing Konoplyanka to the ground inside the box. The defender has been booked and Sevilla have the chance to make it three from the spot...
PENALTY SEVILLA!
Half-chance for the visitors as Leon finds space just inside the Sevilla box, but his effort was always rising over the crossbar. Getafe need more from their skipper in this second period.
... no changes from either manager at the interval, which is not too much of a surprise. However, I suspect that alterations will occur if the score remains 2-0 for the next 15, 20 minutes in Seville.
RESTART! Here we go then - both sets of players re-join us on the pitch for the second 45 minutes. Can Getafe find a route back into this match? The hosts resume the action at the Estadio Ramon...
BENCH WATCH! Sevilla have plenty of attacking options on their bench this evening, with the likes of Krohn-Dehli, Llorente and Reyes all capable of making a difference. As for Getafe, head coach Fran Ascribe has forward options in the shape of Buendia, Gomez and Wanderson.
STATISTICS! Sevilla have shaded the possession with 55%, while they have had 12 attempts - eight of which were on target. Getafe, meanwhile, have only managed two efforts off target thus far. There have been 16 fouls, but surprisingly no cards despite some interesting challenges!
I suspect that there will be some choice words in the Getafe dressing room at the break. The visitors have actually been comfortable for long spells, but two mistakes, first from Guaita and then the team switching off from a quick free kick has allowed Gameiro to score twice for the hosts.
HALF-TIME: Getafe 2-0 Sevilla
Sevilla have their second of the match and it is again Gameiro that finds the back of the net. Getafe go to sleep from a quick set piece and Banega rolls it into Gameiro, who fires home.
GOAL! Sevilla 2-0 Getafe (Gameiro)
Getafe have the chance to threaten from a free kick just inside the Sevilla half, but Leon's delivery is just too strong for Victor Rodriguez, who cannot spin and shoot in one movement. A mistake from Vergini down the other end hands Gameiro a shooting chance, but Guaita makes the save.
Gamer looks to have a problem for the home team here as the Frenchman hits the deck and holds his hand, which looked to have been trodden on. That could easily be a broken finger - painful.
... it is a tame effort from Banega as Guaita collects into his chest.
Getafe just need to be careful in the latter stages of this first period as Vigaray dives into the back of Konoplyanka, which hands the hosts another free kick in a dangerous position...
SAVE! Gameiro comes close to scoring a second after meeting a stunning cross from Konoplyanka, but the Frenchman's effort is excellently saved by Guaita - stunning goalkeeping!
Getafe have not exactly been overly concerned in this first period, but that goal has now changed the complexion of this match. The visitors were more than happy sitting deep and attempting to play on the counter, but they need to start forcing the issue now. It is delicately poised here.
Sevilla make the breakthrough in the 35th minute as Gameiro bundles home from close range following a poor piece of goalkeeping from Guaita. The Getafe stopper could only push a Banega effort straight into the path of the Frenchman, who simply rolled home his fifth goal of the campaign.
GOAL! Sevilla 1-0 Getafe (Gameiro)
... Konoplyanka attempts to find the top corner, but his effort was always rising over.
Sevilla have the chance to threaten from a set piece following a late challenge from Lacen...
Sevilla goalkeeper Rico gets down well to push away a low cross from Vigaray, which seemed to be heading for Scepovic in the middle. Still goalless with 31 minutes on the clock in Seville.
Konoplyanka remains the main outlet for the home team as he again drives past his full-back before delivering towards Gameiro, but Guaita, who has been nice and solid thus far, claims. Well, 29 minutes into this match and both teams have had their moments in an open game of football.
Still no cards in this game, but we must be getting close as the free-kick count rises.
Mariano continues to cause problems down the right as the Sevilla defender breaks forward before delivering towards Gameiro, but Alexis is across to head behind for a corner. The resulting set piece is played short before Banega delivers, but a blue shirt is first to the ball and Getafe break.
Konoplyanka, who has been very dangerous thus far, again cuts inside his full-back before attempting to curl one towards the top corner, but the Sevilla man's effort is wide of the post.
CHANCE! Easily the clearest chance of the match thus far as Vitolo delivers a super cross between Getafe's two central defenders, but Gameiro cannot poke his effort past Guaita. Good goalkeeping!
Another half-chance for Getafe as Sarabia finds space outside the box, but his effort was always moving high and wide of the crossbar. Down the other end, Konoplyanka and Gameiro both combine to evade Guaita, but there are too many defenders in the way and the latter is denied.
Mariano has his pocket picked by Victor Rodriguez before the Getafe midfielder releases a strike, but Iborra puts his sizeable frame in the way to block the shot. Some sloppy passing here!
Getafe have the chance to threaten from a free kick inside the Sevilla half, but Leon's delivery is headed clear by Mariano, who jumped with Scepovic at the far post. End-to-end action here.
CORRECTION! Konoplyanka's low strike actually hit the post. Guaita was beaten!
SAVE! Getafe are very slow to deal with a quick corner and Konoplyanka manages to release a strike towards the bottom corner, but Guaita gets down well to keep the two teams on terms!
Half-chance for Getafe this time as Leon drives towards the edge of the box before striking towards goal, but his low effort is deflected wide for a corner. Tight opening 12 minutes in Seville.
Half-chance for Tremoulinas as the Sevilla defender meets a loose clearance on the edge of the Getafe box, but his effort was always straight at Guaita, who releases downfield towards Leon.
The next late challenge might well bring a card as Juan Rodriguez is let off for a poor tackle on Iborra, which brings groans from the home supporters. Both teams continue to commit numbers each time they break forward, but neither goalkeeper has been seriously troubled inside eight minutes.
Not too much to report in terms of opportunities in the early moments, with both goalkeepers dealing comfortably with crosses into the box. Banega finds space outside the Getafe box before attempting to find the top corner, but his effort was always wide. Six on the clock, no goals in Seville.
Sevilla have been a little sloppy in the early exchanges, which is inviting Getafe to press high. Pedro Leon is perhaps a shade fortunate to escape a yellow, meanwhile, after pulling Konoplyanka's shirt when the forward had burst away down the left. Good tempo to this game thus far.
... it must be said that there is a wonderful atmosphere inside the stadium this evening. Getafe, however, as mentioned, will enter this match in good form and have nothing to fear. It should be an entertaining contest between two teams that have plenty of movement in the final third.
KICKOFF! Here we go then - both sets of players have joined us on the field at the Estadio Ramon. The home fans are expectant, that is for sure. It is Getafe that get the first 45 minutes underway...
PREDICTION! I have to side with Sevilla in this one. Getafe have been impressive in recent weeks, but Sevilla were excellent against Man City during the week and if they can perform anywhere near that level here then they will win the game. My prediction is a routine 2-0 home win.
Last weekend brought Getafe's best result and indeed best performance of the season as they beat Las Palmas 4-0. Incredibly, the capital side have recorded three successive clean sheets in the league and have only conceded twice in their last five matches. Concentration will again be important tonight, however, and their next league fixture after this one is at home to Barcelona.
Getafe, meanwhile, have made a decent start to the season under Fran Escriba. Like Sevilla, they really struggled in the early weeks and actually lost each of their first three league games, but have only been beaten once since the start of September and that was away to Atletico Madrid. They have overcome Malaga, Levante and Las Palmas in recent weeks and also drawn with Celta Vigo.
There might be some tired legs on display this evening, however, with Sevilla entering this game off the back of a tough Champions League match against Manchester City on Wednesday. The Spanish side were excellent for long stages of the clash and managed to take the lead, but an own goal from Adil Rami and late Kevin de Bruyne effort saw Sevilla lose 2-1 in Manchester.
Matters have improved in recent weeks, however, with two wins and a draw from their last three in Spain's top flight. That run has moved them into 13th spot in the table, but they are already seven points off the top four and also seven from fifth-place Villarreal, which is the position that Sevilla occupied at the end of last season. This is another big game for Unai Emery's side, that is for sure.
A poor start to the campaign saw Sevilla go five games without a win in the league. They opened with a 0-0 draw against Malaga, before losing 3-0 at home to Atletico Madrid. A 1-1 draw at Levante followed and it got a lot worse when they were beaten in back-to-back games against Celta Vigo and Las Palmas. At the end of September, Emery's side were sitting in the relegation zone.
Sevilla have won their last four La Liga games against Getafe on home soil and only conceded one goal in the process. Their last two home fixtures against the capital side have brought comfortable wins in the shape of 3-0 and 2-0, but Sevilla have actually lost on each of their last two trips to Getafe in the league. They were beaten 1-0 in the 2013-14 campaign and 2-1 last season.
As for Getafe, there is a start in attack for on-loan Celtic forward Stefan Scepovic, who scored twice against Las Palmas last time out. Pedro Leon, Victor Rodriguez and Pablo Sarabia will all support the lone forward, with Moi Gomez only among the substitutes. Carlos Vigaray is also in the XI.
So there we have it. Not too many surprises in the Sevilla XI this evening, with Kevin Gameiro once again leading the line ahead of Fernando Llorente, who is only on the bench. Adil Rami, who scored an own goal against Manchester City during the week, starts in central defence alongside Timothy Kolodziejczak. Yevhen Konoplyanka and Vitolo are also in the home side's XI at the Estadio Ramon.
TEAMS:

SEVILLA: Rico; Mariano, Rami, Kolo, Tremoulinas; Banega, Krychowiak; Konoplyanka, Iborra, Vitolo; Gameiro

GETAFE: Guaita; Vigaray, Alexis, Vergini, Lago; Lacen, J Rodriguez; Leon, V Rodriguez, Sarabia; Scepovic

First and foremost, let me bring you up-to-speed with the team news from Seville...
Evening all! Sports Mole's live La Liga coverage continues from the Estadio Ramon as Sevilla welcome Getafe in Spain's top flight. The visitors will enter this match above Unai Emery's side in the table, with the Europa League winners only collecting nine points from their eight league games this season. Getafe, meanwhile, sit 11th in the table having put 10 points on the board from their eight matches.
