Sheffield United manager Nigel Clough has said that Ben Davies's experience will be an asset to his side as they bid to avoid the drop from League One.
The Derby County midfielder made his debut for the Blades on Wednesday in their 1-0 win at Gillingham, after completing his loan move to Bramall Lane on the same day.
The victory moved United out of the relegation zone.
"Ben is an excellent professional," Clough told Football365.com.
"He's experienced and someone we know well, which means we won't have to spend weeks getting him up to speed. He can operate in a variety of different positions and his dead-ball delivery is as good as anything in the division."
Clough signed Davies from Notts County during his spell as Derby boss in 2011.
