Manager Chris Wilder has signed a new contract with Sheffield United.
During his time at Bramall Lane, Wilder has gained promotion out of League One as well as keeping the Blades in the top half of the Championship standings during the current campaign.
However, reports had suggested that the 50-year-old could leave the Yorkshire outfit and take up the vacant position at Sunderland due to his links with new owner Stewart Donald.
Wilder will remain at the second tier of English football, however, after choosing to sign an 'improved" deal with the Blades.
In two seasons at the club, Wilder has recorded 55 wins and 20 draws from his 103 matches in charge.
