South Yorkshire neighbours Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley met in our feature 3pm Championship kickoff on Saturday.
Hosts Wednesday went into the game on a good run of form and continued it thanks to a 97th-minute winner from Chris Maguire.
There was also three red cards at Hillsborough and you can read how it all unfolded in our minute-by-minute updates below.
Afternoon folks! Our feature 3pm Championship game takes place in Sheffield as the Owls take on the Tykes at Hillsborough. Team news coming right up...
WEDNESDAY XI: Kirkland; Palmer, Onyewu, Llera, Mattock; Maguire, Lee, Semedo; Maghoma, Afobe; Nuhiu
WEDNESDAY SUBS: Martinez, J Johnson, Corry, Lavery, Helan, McCabe, McPhail
BARNSLEY XI: Steele, Hunt, Kennedy, Cranie, Ramage, O'Grady, Proschwitz, Shea, Jennings, Mellis, Frimpong
BARNSLEY SUBS: Turner, Lawrence, Dawson, O'Brien, Cywka, McCourt, M'Voto
Okey doke. Stuart Gray makes three changes to his Wednesday side, with Joe Mattock, Jacques Maghoma and new signing Benik Afobe in.
There's also new faces in the Barnsley lineup as Emmanuel Frimpong and Jack Hunt make their debuts.
Frimpong and Hunt are joined by Jacob Mellis in three changes made by Danny Wilson as Jim O'Brien, Stephen Dawson and Lewin Nyatanga drop out.
When these two sides last met back on October 26, it finished 1-1 at Oakwell. In fact, Wednesday haven't been beaten by Barnsley in their last five games, winning three of those.
PREDICTION TIME! Ten minutes until kickoff at Hillsborough. I fancy the hosts to continue their six-game unbeaten run and pile more misery on Barnsley. 3-1 to Wednesday.
Click here to see how the Championship looks ahead of nine games kicking off at 3pm in the second tier. Wednesday's recent run of form has seen them edge three points clear of the drop zone, while Barnsley are five points adrift of safety in 23rd.
REFEREE WATCH: The man in charge at Hillsborough is Premier League regular Andre Marriner.
Here come the two teams out of the tunnel. Both in their home colours of blue-and-white and red respectively.
KICKOFF! The visitors get us underway.
Barnsley have an early free kick that is curled into the box but cleared by Wednesday.
CLOSE! Wednesday then win one of their own and it's taken quickly into Maguire, whose deep cross just evades Llera at the back post.
CHANCE! Another opening for Wednesday and it's almost a debut goal for Afobe. Lee whipped over a super cross that Ramage just reached in time to prevent the Arsenal loanee opening his Owls account.
It's been a good start by Wednesday and new striker Afobe certainly looks lively. Gray will be praying that the youngster can follow in Connor Wickham's footsteps and make a big impact for the Owls.
Wickham was recalled by parent club Sunderland earlier this week ahead of an expected sale but nothing materialised and he was on the bench for the Black Cats in the Tyne-Wear derby earlier today, which Sunderland won 3-0.
Half-chance for Barnsley as O'Grady runs at Onyewu but can only find the belly of Kirkland with his low shot.
Wednesday appeal for a penalty as Maghoma beats Ramage to the ball before tumbling cheaply. There was hardly any contact and Maghoma should really be booked but Marriner lets it go.
Maghoma and Ramage again clash in a full-blooded fair challenge. The former comes off worse and is down on the touchline receiving treatment.
Best spell of pressure from Barnsley as new boy Hunt nicks the ball and then bursts into the box. He could shoot but tries to cut inside for a better angle and is tackled.
UPDATE: There's been just one goal in the Championship so far with Charlton taking a surprise lead at Wigan. That red box to the right of these updates will keep you posted on the latest scores.
OFF THE LINE! So close to an opening goal for Barnsley! A corner was sent over deep and Proschwitz crashed a volley towards goal that hit Maghoma on the line. The ball came back to the German and his next volley was equally powerful and saved by Kirkland.
The Tykes have a couple more corners and look ever so dangerous from them but just can't quite find the net.
A half-chance for Wednesday as Afobe is robbed of the ball but it drops to Lee who picks out Nuhiu. There's not much pace on the cross so the big forward has to generate it himself and heads well wide.
BOOKING! Barnsley debutant Frimpong is shown a yellow card for tripping Maguire right on the edge of the area.
Maguire then takes the free kick himself, slapping it low into the wall.
UPDATE: It's been a weird couple of days for Leeds United after they sacked manager Brian McDermott on transfer deadline day. Rumours today suggest that he may be reinstated though. He's reportedly in the stands for another Yorkshire derby as Leeds take on Huddersfield. The visitors have just gone in front at Elland Road.
Both sides look extremely dangerous from set pieces as Wednesday go close with Llera just unable to reach Maghoma's deep cross.
OFF! EMMANUEL FRIMPONG SEES RED
Dear oh dear! We had a couple of successful debuts in the QPR-Burnley game earlier but this is the complete opposite as Frimpong heads down the tunnel inside half an hour. He had already been booked and then needlessly clattered into the back of Lee. He did win the ball but you can't come through the back of the man first.
BARNSLEY SUB: Wilson has to make a change and it's top scorer O'Grady who is sacrificed, with Stephen Dawson on in his place to shore up the midfield.
Maguire tests Steele with a low shot from 20 yards. Well hit, but too close to the Barnsley keeper.
Just seen another replay of the Frimpong red card. His second challenge was definitely yellow-worthy but the first not so much. It was just a trip and conceding a free kick on the edge of the box should have been punishment enough.
Barnsley survive a very nervy moment as Steele is well wide of his goal and clears it straight to Maguire. The Wednesday man takes a touch and is about to shoot for goal when Cranie gets back to win the ball brilliantly. The Tykes look ever so wobbly at the moment.
Wednesday are obviously going to be doing most of the pressing with their numerical advantage now. Nuhiu has a half-chance by rising to meet Maguire's centre and looping a header onto the roof of the net.
Just as three minutes of time are added on, Wednesday win a corner as a long throw-in is headed away from danger by Cranie.
Nothing came of the corner but Wednesday continue to attack through Maghoma, who cut inside from the left and had his powerful strike blocked by a red shirt.
SAVE! Out of nowhere, Barnsley come close as Shea releases Jennings down the left and the former Bayern Munich winger stings the palms of Kirkland with a fierce near-post drive.
HALF-TIME: WEDNESDAY 0-0 BARNSLEY
No time for the Tykes to take the corner as Marriner blows for half time.
The main headline from the opening 45 is the sending off of Barnsley debutant Frimpong. After being perhaps unfairly booked, the former Arsenal man carelessly dove in on Maguire to earn a second booking within five minutes and his marching orders.
It really would be a stunning victory if Barnsley could get the three points now. They're a man light and have looked dodgy at the back. Wednesday will be confident of extending their unbeaten league run to seven games.
KICKOFF! No changes from either manager at half time as the second half gets underway.
BOOKING! Maguire is the first Wednesday name in the book after he took a dive in the penalty area.
You might have expected Wednesday to come out and take it to Barnsley in the second period but it's been a dull start to the half. Little to perk up the Hillsborough crowd.
BOOKING! Another yellow card for diving and again Marriner gets it spot on after Hunt threw himself to the ground.
Barnsley have the ball in the back of the net but it won't count as Jennings was offside when Dawson rolled him in.
Surely Owls boss Gray is thinking about a change or two to shake things up. His side have looked pretty flat in the second half despite having a man more. I'd expect Caolan Lavery and/or Jermaine Johnson to be sent on.
OFF THE POST! Closest Wednesday have come as Maguire's corner is shouldered into his own post by Hunt!
WEDNESDAY SUB: As expected, it's young forward Lavery who comes on in place of Nuhiu.
Marriner has got most things right today but I think he's just missed a clear penalty to Wednesday. Both Maghoma and Lavery hit the deck and it was Dawson who clipped Lavery's heels for what looked like a certain penalty.
Wednesday are starting to turn the screw here and come close as Lee's cross is just too high for Lavery at the back post. Had big man Nuhiu still been on that might have been the opening goal.
SAVE! Barnsley gift possession to Lee, who has options left and right but goes for goal. His shot is deflected and looks destined to loop into the net until Steele arches his back to tip over.
WEDNESDAY SUB: Afobe's debut comes to an end as Johnson takes his place. The Arsenal loanee certainly put himself about and should be a decent addition for the remainder of the season.
BARNSLEY SUB: A second substitution from Wilson as Jim O'Brien comes on for Jennings.
Nasty moment for Shea as he blocks Mattock's cross with his face before sliding into the advertising boards.
UPDATE: I mentioned earlier that Leeds were behind but they've turned it around brilliantly against Huddersfield and now lead 4-1, with the division's top scorer Ross McCormack getting a hat-trick.
BARNSLEY SUB: Final change for the visitors as Tomas Cywka replaces debutant Hunt. Can the Tykes hang on here?
RED CARD! JOHNSON SENT OFF!
This is so stupid from the substitute as he goes in ever so high on Shea and is rightly dismissed by Marriner. Disgusting tackle.
JUST WIDE! So close for Wednesday as Maguire's free kick takes a wicked deflection and dips towards the back post. It's just in front of Llera and goes inches wide of the upright.
Wednesday actually look more dangerous now than they did when they had a man advantage! Five left for either side to snatch a winner.
UPDATE: There's some good news for these two clubs as fellow strugglers Charlton concede two late goals to surrender the lead at Wigan. Now 2-1 to the Latics.
HUGE shouts for a Barnsley penalty as Mellis is slipped in and cuts inside Llera before going over his outstretched leg. Hard to see if there was actually contact.
RED CARD! MELLIS IS OFF!
Just after five minutes of time was added on, Mellis becomes the third player to see red this game for a rash lunge on Maghoma. The former Chelsea man was annoyed that he hadn't been awarded a penalty and stupidly jumped in.
Amazingly, it's nine-man Barnsley who are applying the late pressure. They have a corner.
GOAL! WEDNESDAY 1-0 BARNSLEY (MAGUIRE)
In the 97th minute, the Owls steal the win! Hillsborough erupts as Maguire, who has been lively all game, has a pop from 20 yards that goes through a Barnsley defender's legs and squeezes in at the near post. Incredible!
FULL-TIME: WEDNESDAY 1-0 BARNSLEY
What a huge win that is for the Owls as they claim victory against South Yorkshire neighbours Barnsley with virtually the last kick of the game.
Barnsley will be devastated as they had to play around 50 minutes of the match a man lighter than the opposition. They held on bravely until the final moments and lose out on a valuable point.
Click here for the latest Championship table. As you can see, Wednesday have climbed all the way up to 17th. Barnsley remain five points adrift of safety and will be bottom tomorrow if Yeovil avoid defeat at Nottingham Forest.
Anyway, thanks for joining Sports Mole this afternoon. Make sure you stick around on site for plenty of reports, reaction and analysis on what has been a whirlwind Saturday of football.
