Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Ross Wallace has paid tribute to his side's defensive efforts during their 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion in the Championship playoff semi-final second leg this evening.
The Owls found their goal under siege in the opening 20 minutes of the contest, but Brighton managed just one goal in that time and failed to add to that throughout the remainder of the match.
Wallace levelled things up on the night to seal a 3-1 aggregate success for his side, but he was in no doubt as to who the accolades should go to.
"Defensively the back five were great. They put a lot of balls into the box and we had to weather the storm," he told Sky Sports News.
"We are going to have a magnificent day out [at Wembley]. We'll enjoy the moment and then get back to it."
Wednesday will take on either Hull City or Derby County in the final at Wembley on May 28.
