Goals from Matt Richie and Lewis Grabban gave Bournemouth a 2-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday despite a late fightback from the hosts.
Jacques Maghoma fired over the bar early on for Wednesday before Andrew Surman teed up Matt Richie to score from 20 yards.
Surman was again involved when he jinked past a couple of defenders and drove towards goal, but his effort was tipped past the post by Owls keeper Damian Martinez.
Elliott Ward then missed a good chance to double Bournemouth's lead when his header from Richie's corner went just wide.
The travelling fans didn't have to wait long for another goal, however, with Grabban extending the Cherries' lead when he beat Martinez at his near post.
Wednesday's response came in the form of Jermaine Johnson and Atdhe Nuhiu, but neither could put their shots past Bournemouth keeper Lee Camp.
Bournemouth continued to put pressure on Wednesday after the break, with Miguel Llera making a key interception in the middle of the box to deny Grabban.
Llera then came close for Wednesday from a free kick before Maghoma tapped in from three yards to give the Owls hope of salvaging a result.
Wednesday piled forward in search of an equalizer but the game ended in a victory for the Cherries, only their second in 10 matches.
