Sheffield Wednesday caretaker boss Stuart Gray has said that he will still be in charge of the team against Blackburn Rovers on Thursday unless told otherwise.
Wednesday lost against Bournemouth on Saturday and that left them in the relegation zone, two points adrift of safety.
Gray told reporters: "There is no update on the managerial situation at the moment. I will be in charge for the Blackburn game unless told otherwise."
Gray also explained why some of his players were missing against the Cherries.
He said: "[Connor] Wickham has a hamstring injury,[Glenn] Loovens has a back spasm and Atdhe [Nuhiu] has popped his shoulder. Wickham failed a fitness test yesterday but hopefully he'll be fit for the next game."
Gray has won two of his four games in charge of the Owls.
