Sports Mole previews Saturday's Turkish Super Lig clash between Sivasspor and Giresunspor, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Having suffered a first defeat in six outings across all competitions last time out, Giresunspor visit the Yeni 4 Eylul Stadyumu for their meeting with Sivasspor on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the home side are without a victory in four matches and will be looking to end this poor run of form.

Match preview

Sivasspor were involved in a share of the spoils for the third game running following a 1-1 stalemate versus Altay on Saturday.

Riza Calimbay's men took the lead in the 38th minute through Mustapha Yatabare, but Daouda Bamba restored parity six minutes later.

Having picked up 12 points from 11 matches so far, The Braves are 13th in the Super Lig table at the moment and in need of a pick-me-up.

Next up for them is a clash versus an opposing side who they have beaten in each of the previous four meetings by a combined score of 9-4.

With a crunch contest versus Istanbul Basaksehir to follow after the international break, Saturday's hosts could do with a morale-boosting victory this weekend.

Giresunspor fell to a 2-1 defeat versus Antalyaspor when the sides faced off at the Cotanak Stadium on Monday.

Fredy scored in both halves to put his side in control before Fousseni Diabate pulled one back for Hakan Keles's men late on.

The Cotanaklar remain bottom but one on the log, three points adrift of safety 11 games into the new campaign.

Saturday's visitors, who recently gained promotion to the top flight, now run the risk of returning to the second tier if results do not improve going forward.

Team News

Giresunspor's Erol Akdag made his return to action last time out, and the midfielder could be named in the starting XI for this one.

Hamidou Traore is the favourite to make way for Akdag, with the 25-year-old failing to impress in the latter's absence.

Koray Altinay is unavailable for the home side due to a knee injury, while Jorge Felix continues to nurse a muscle problem.

Sivasspor will also be without the services of Aaron Appidangoye, who is yet to feature so far due to an Achilles Tendon injury.

Sivasspor possible starting lineup:
Vural; Yesilyurt, Goutas, Osmanpasa, Cifti; Arslan, Cofie, Ulvestad; Gradel, Yatabare, Kayode

Giresunspor possible starting lineup:
Kocuk; Behich, Perez, Diarra, Yavru; Flavio, Traore; Serginho, Sankhare, Diabate; Doukar

We say: Sivasspor 0-0 Giresunspor

With the teams currently languishing in the lower echelons of the table, we expect a nervy and cagey affair with little goalmouth action. We are also backing a share of the spoils come the full-time whistle.
