Freiburg have survived a late scare from Slovan Liberec to beat their opponents 2-1 away from home in the Europa League and maintain their chances of progressing from Group H.
The German outfit broke the deadlock midway through the first half through Matthias Ginter, who took advantage of a goalkeeping error from Premysl Kovar to slot home from close range.
Freiburg doubled their advantage in the 73rd minute when Christian Gunter put in a good delivery for Francis Coquelin to head home from just yards out.
Slovan threatened to launch a late comeback when they halved the deficit nine minutes from full time, Serhiy Rybalka tapping in Jiri Pimpara's knock-down.
However, the visitors held on for the final minutes of the contest to move level on six points with Liberec in the group.
