South Korea go into their Group H match with Algeria knowing that three points will leave their fate in their own hands going into the final fixtures next week.
The Asian nation could only secure a 1-1 draw with Russia on Tuesday evening, but a win over Algeria would see Hong Myong-Bo's team go into the match with Belgium in a qualification spot.
Lee Keun-Ho could be drafted into the starting lineup after coming off the bench to score against Russia.
Algeria may have suffered a 2-1 loss against Belgium, but boss Vahid Halilhodzic would have taken the positives away from his team's display against the group seeds.
The Desert Warriors stifled Belgium for large parts of the game before eventually being overpowered in the final quarter, but Halilhodzic will be confident that Algeria can earn a result in Porto Alegre.
