Southampton assistant manager Jesus Perez has hailed midfielder Adam Lallana as his impact in the second half of his side's FA Cup clash with Burnley changed the momentum of the game.
The Saints led 2-0 at the break but the Clarets hit back after half time to level things up.
However, the introduction of Lallana on the hour mark turned the match around as the home side regained their composure to get two more goals to seal their place in the fourth round of the competition.
Perez told the club's official website: "Everyone can see how well Adam Lallana is doing this season. He is always doing great things. He is an example to the squad. He is an example in training.
"We scored two great goals. Burnley started the second half better. We woke up after they equalised. Sometimes one of the sides is clinical and the other isn't. That was the case today."
Southampton are next in action next week in the Premier League when they take on West Bromwich Albion.
