Southampton forward Jay Rodriguez has praised the team for their "ruthless" streak in front of goal during last night's hammering of MK Dons in the third round of the Capital One Cup.
The 26-year-old scored twice in the Saints' 6-0 victory over the Championship side on away turf.
"The team played well," the Daily Echo quotes Rodriguez as saying. "We set out to go and press and play good football and that's what we did.
"We didn't want to stop after scoring three. We never stopped, we were ruthless in front of goal today."
Sadio Mane and Shane Long scored two apiece to contribute to Southampton's prolific performance.
