Southampton have reportedly agreed a £16m fee with Basel for the transfer of Mohamed Elyounoussi.
The 23-year-old scored 13 times and provided 17 assists in 44 appearances for Basel during the 2017-18 campaign.
Leicester City have been strongly linked with the attacker as they prepare to lose Riyad Mahrez, but according to Sky Sports News, Southampton are on the verge of completing the deal.
The report claims that the price is in the region of £16m, with Saints boss Mark Hughes moving quickly to secure a replacement for Dusan Tadic, who is said to be on the verge of joining Ajax.
Elyounoussi could become Southampton's second signing of this summer's transfer window, with the English club having already secured a deal for Celtic's Stuart Armstrong.
