Southend United manager Phil Brown says that his team 'deserved to win' against Millwall in their FA Cup third-round game.
The League Two side defeated their Championship opponents 4-1 to secure their place in the competition's fourth round.
Brown told reporters: "I'm delighted for the players because they played some fantastic football against a Championship side.
"There's no doubt we deserved to win the game. Even before the red card we were well on top.
"A number of players went out there today and proved a point. I'm delighted that they did."
The game was halted in the first half following floodlight failure at Roots Hall, but resumed after 16 minutes.
