Southend United of League Two have beaten Championship side Millwall 4-1 this afternoon in the third round of the FA Cup at Roots Hall.
The first goal of the game came from Barry Corr on 22 minutes, as he rose above Danny Shittu to head past David Forde.
The Blues nearly doubled their lead just four minutes later, but Forde managed to deflect Will Atkinson's effort.
A floodlight failure at Roots Hall then forced both teams off the pitch for 16 minutes.
After play resumed, it took both sides a while to get back into the game, but just before half time, Jermaine Easter received a red card for a stamp on Ben Coker.
Atkinson then made it 2-0 within a minute of the second half getting underway, his chip beating Forde.
Michael Timlin then put the scoreline beyond doubt with a right-footed shot from just inside the area on 57 minutes.
Millwall did net a consolation in the 64th minute, courtesy of Martyn Woolford, but just before the game ended, the home side restored their three-goal lead, Ryan Leonard collecting Corr's pass and firing past Forde.
