It has finished goalless in the League Two match as Southend United played Newport County at Roots Hall.
Newport started well and Adam Chapman fired over the bar from just outside the box as Justin Edinburgh's side looked for an early goal.
The home side pushed on with 20 minutes played, but Will Atkinson's effort was high and failed to trouble Lenny Pidgeley.
However, Atkinson came much closer soon after, striking the post with a header. Barry Corr and Lee Barnard then had shots saved as the Shrimpers began to take control.
Newport came out strongly in the second half, with Shaun Jeffers forcing Daniel Bentley into a decent stop.
Mark Phillips then conceded a penalty when he brought down Ryan Burge, but Robbie Willmott put his spot kick wide. Harry Worley also had a shot saved by Bentley as the away side pushed hard the opening goal.
Both sides tried to find a late winner, but they had to settle for a point apiece.
