Burton Albion responded to going a man down inside the first half to battle back for a 2-1 win over Southend United that extends their lead at the top of League Two to five points.
The home side endured a nightmare end to the first period when they went a goal down before seeing a man sent off moments later.
First Barry Corr was on hand to give Southend the lead when he turned home a low cross as the game crept into stoppage time at the end of the first half.
Moments later the Brewers were reduced to 10 when Robbie Weir was adjudged to have raised an arm.
However Burton got themselves back in the game before the hour mark when Matt Palmer latched on to a loose ball to rifle home from around 25 yards.
With the game petering into stoppage time, Nasser El Khayati popped up with a curling effort to give Burton the win.
