Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Red Star Belgrade

Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Tuesday's Champions League group game against Red Star Belgrade.

An out-of-form Tottenham Hotspur side head into Tuesday's Champions League showdown with Red Star Belgrade knowing that anything other than victory would leave them with an uphill battle to qualify from Group B.

Last season's runners-up were humiliated at home by Bayern Munich in their last European outing, conceding five second-half goals en route to a 7-2 drubbing which leaves them with just one point from their opening two games.

Saturday's 1-1 draw with winless Watford means that it is now just one win in their last seven outings across all competitions, and only two in 11 games since the opening day of the season.

With the prospect of Liverpool looming next weekend, Mauricio Pochettino will be desperate for a much-needed victory before then, and here Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Red Star's visit.

Hugo Lloris

Status: Out
Type of injury: Elbow
Possible return date: Unknown

There was a collective wince and intake of breath when Hugo Lloris's arm bent in the wrong direction against Brighton & Hove Albion, adding serious injury to the insult of conceding another cheap goal. The Spurs skipper is not expected back in training before the end of the year having damaged the ligaments in his elbow.

Giovani Lo Celso

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: November 3 (vs. Everton)

Lo Celso is now back in training with Tottenham, but both Tuesday's match and Sunday's trip to Anfield are expected to come too soon for the summer signing, who picked up his hip injury during last month's international break.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: November 3 (vs. Everton)

A hamstring injury has caused a frustrating wait for Ryan Sessegnon to make his Tottenham debut since joining from Fulham and, while that day is edging closer, it is not expected to come on Tuesday.

Christian Eriksen

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Dead leg
Possible return date: October 22 (vs. Red Star Belgrade)

Christian Eriksen missed Saturday's draw with Watford after picking up a dead leg on international duty with Denmark, but he is expected to be fit again in time for this match.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR'S SUSPENSION LIST

Spurs have no players suspended for this match.
