How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Red Star Belgrade

Sports Mole looks at how an out-of-form Tottenham Hotspur side could line up for Tuesday's Champions League Group B clash with Red Star Belgrade.

Tottenham Hotspur know that there is very little room for error left in Champions League Group B when they welcome Red Star Belgrade to North London on Tuesday night.

Last season's beaten finalists threw away a two-goal lead to draw with Olympiacos on matchday one before capitulating in a 7-2 home humiliation at the hands of Bayern Munich last time out, leaving them with just one point from their opening two group games.

Tottenham's form has not been any better across all competitions either, with Saturday's 1-1 draw against winless Watford making it just two victories in 11 matches since the opening day of the season.

Pressure is beginning to grow on both the team and manager Mauricio Pochettino as they scramble for an improvement, and here Sports Mole looks at how Spurs could line up for Red Star's visit.

Out: Giovani Lo Celso (hip), Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring), Hugo Lloris (arm)
Doubtful: Christian Eriksen (dead leg)

The main fitness question mark for Spurs ahead of this match hangs over the head of Christian Eriksen, who missed the game against Watford on Saturday due to a dead leg sustained on international duty.

The Dane is expected to be ready for Tuesday's match and could be restored straight back into the starting lineup, despite Dele Alli marking his first Premier League start of the season with the late equaliser against the Hornets.

Son Heung-min, Erik Lamela, Tanguy Ndombele and Ben Davies are among the other names left out on Saturday who may be hoping for a recall, with the main decisions to be made in the attacking positions where last season's Champions League hero Lucas Moura is also competing for a place.

Pochettino opted for a return to his back three at the weekend and may stick with the trio of Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez and Jan Vertonghen despite the performance against the league's bottom side once again being far from convincing.

Tuesday's game will come too soon for summer arrivals Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon, although both are now back in training and should be ready to return sooner rather than later.

Captain Hugo Lloris remains a long-term absentee following his sickening arm injury, though, with Paulo Gazzaniga deputising ahead of the re-signed Michel Vorm.
