The fourth round of the FA Cup saw Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur clash at Elland Road.
Leeds took the lead with their first real chance through Luke Varney's fine effort after being put through by Michael Brown.
Ross McCormack doubled Leeds's advantage with a superb curled finish after cutting in on his left foot, before Clint Dempsey got Spurs back in it.
However, Leeds hung on for a big win. Here, Sports Mole analyses whether the result was just.

Was the result fair?
On balance, in terms of possession and chances, Spurs probably edged it. However Leeds were clinical and exactly the opposite to the Londoners. The chances they created were the better ones and, probably key, were far stronger at the back than Spurs. Overall, Spurs can't complain.
Leeds's performance
Really well-drilled. They did exactly what they needed to early on by grabbing a fairly quick goal, which gave them something to defend. They might not have had the majority of the chances but what they did create could all have been goals – Friedel made the two best saves of the game. They also dealt with the wide threat admirably.
Spurs's performance
Worryingly disjointed for a team only lacking a few first-choice players. At the back they were utterly woeful, with mistake upon mistake. Indeed Leeds's goals could both have been prevented. Going forward they saw a lot of the ball but were so wasteful in front of goal – Dempsey, despite scoring, squandered a number of chances.
Sports Mole's man of the match
Sam Byram: It's the sign of a good performance from a full-back when the opposition have to switch the side of their wingers. Gareth Bale was constantly moving left to right to find joy, but down the Leeds right Byram was stopping everything. He was also a good outlet for Leeds going forward down the flank.
Biggest gaffe
Kyle Naughton has to get this award for failing to keep Varney in check for the opener. He let his man in off the left flank to latch on to Brown's ball over the top and slot past Friedel. From that moment it was an uphill climb for Spurs and Naughton's sloppiness was not needed.
Referee performance
Kevin Friend was excellent. It was always likely to be a tetchy encounter with some of the players on the pitch and he recognised this. He didn't go to his pocket too early for petty fouls and the cards he did give were fully justified. He also looked to play the advantage at any opportunity and did so well on a number of occasions.
What next?
Leeds: The hosts return to the Championship schedule at the weekend and face a very difficult prospect in Cardiff City.
Spurs: Tottenham will look to bounce back from this disappointment with a midweek trip to Carrow Road to face Norwich City.
