Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham Hotspur's injury and suspension news ahead of Friday's FA Cup fourth round tie against Manchester City.

Tottenham Hotspur return to action on Friday evening when they play host to Manchester City in the FA Cup fourth round.

The North Londoners have not been in action since they earned a 2-2 draw with Manchester United on January 14, twice coming from behind against the Red Devils at Old Trafford.

A weekend off felt necessary for a side that has availability issues, but that is expected to ease for the visit of the defending champions to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up their latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with City, who have also been without a game since the weekend of January 13 and 14.

Manor Solomon

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: January 31 (vs. Brentford)

Manor Solomon has recently stepped up his recovery from a knee injury, and appeared on the brink of a return for this fixture. However, Postecoglou has since revealed that the Israel international will not be considered.

Alfie Whiteman

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Alfie Whiteman remains on the sidelines due to a severe ankle injury, with the goalkeeper unlikely to be available for selection until next season.

Alejo Veliz

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Alejo Veliz suffered a knee injury against Bournemouth and the forward has been ruled out "for a couple of months", according to Tottenham head coach Postecoglou.

Giovani Lo Celso

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Giovani Lo Celso sustained a hamstring issue earlier this month and the current expectation is that the playmaker will be sidelined until some point in February.

Son Heung-min

Status: Out
Possible return date: Unknown

Spurs are currently without their captain Son Heung-min due to his involvement in the Asian Cup with South Korea.

Pape Sarr

Status: Out
Possible return date: Unknown

Spurs are currently without Pape Sarr due to his involvement with Senegal in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Yves Bissouma

Status: Out
Possible return date: Unknown

Spurs are currently without Yves Bissouma due to his involvement with Mali at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: January 26 (vs. Manchester City)

Having suffered a minor hamstring injury, Ryan Sessegnon missed the Man United game. However, Postecoglou has indicated that the left-sided player should return to the fold for this contest.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR'S SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no players suspended for this match.
