Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he may be forced to leave Harry Kane out of his squad for the Europa League encounter with Anderlecht.
The England international picked up a knock late on against Liverpool at the weekend and is therefore doubtful for the Group J clash in Brussels.
Kane did take part in Tottenham training on Wednesday evening, however, and with Son Heung-min also nursing an injury - leaving just Clinton Njie available - Pochettino will leave any decision until the last minute.
"We need to assess him because at the end of the game against Liverpool, Harry had a small problem," Pochettino is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. "It is a big test for him to play from the beginning.
"is possible he will start on the bench here. As normal we need to manage in a good way and assess and analyse every little detail. He had a knock, not an injury.
"The player always wants to play. Afterwards I decide if the player is wrong. We have other players in the squad and we believe in all players."
Kane has scored one goal in 12 appearances for Spurs so far this season.
