Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed that he is "very happy" with the team's narrow 1-0 victory over Southampton.
Spurs ended their four-game winless run in the Premier League on Sunday as Christian Eriksen's first-half strike saw them beat the Saints at White Hart Lane.
With a trip to former club Manchester City on the horizon, Adebayor now hopes that he and his Tottenham teammates can build on their weekend triumph.
"The most important thing is to win the game as a team and this weekend we have done that, so I'm very happy and very pleased for the group," he told the club's official website.
"Some players are now going away to play international matches and then we have one of the biggest games of the season at Manchester City so we're looking forward to that."
Spurs travel to champions Manchester City in the Premier League on October 18.
