Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has admitted that he was "proud" of his side's display in their 2-1 win over Queens Park Rangers.
Harry Kane scored a brace for Mauricio Pochettino's men to fire them into a 2-0 lead, but they were forced to battle for the final 15 minutes when Sandro found the net for the R's at Loftus Road.
The Wales international believes that the fight he and his teammates put in to hold out for the victory showed a lot about their character.
Davies told the club's official website: "We really had to fight for it. Once we scored, we had a great spell but we always had to be cautious of what they could throw at us, try to be sensible and not play silly football in silly areas.
"Maybe it wasn't the prettiest and we had to play the percentages at times but QPR put us under pressure and we had to focus. We put our bodies on the line, stood up to be counted and deserved the three points. As a team, we can be proud of that win."
Tottenham are sixth in the Premier League after 28 matches this season.
