Andre Villas-Boas: "Hugo Lloris decision right call"

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas believes that he made the right call in allowing goalkeeper Hugo Lloris to continue after a collision.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has said that he made the right call in allowing Hugo Lloris to continue to play after his collision with Romelu Lukaku during his side's goalless draw with Everton this afternoon.

Lloris came out to challenge Lukaku during the game and the keeper received a troublesome blow to the head, but insisted on continuing for his team, with Villas-Boas also backing the keeper's decision.

"Hugo still doesn't recall everything about the incident," Villas-Boas said, according to The Metro.

"It was a very difficult moment for us and I am happy he is well. I made the call to keep him on the pitch because of the signs he was giving.

"He was determined to continue and looked concentrated, driven and focused enough for me not to make the call to replace him. The saves he did after the incident proved that right."

Spurs came close to grabbing a winning goal in the encounter, while Everton were also denied two penalty appeals.
