Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has heaped praise upon Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luka Modric as the chase for his signature heats up.
Andre Villas-Boas yesterday revealed that there are a number of clubs interested in the Croatian, who looks set to leave White Hart Lane this summer.
Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been linked with the 26-year-old, but Ancelotti may now have declared his interest after speaking of his admiration for his talent.
"I must say that I didn't have to watch the European Championship to understand what kind of talent he has," said the Italian.
"I knew his capabilities before. Now he has confirmed it for those who didn't know, or appreciate, his quality.
"Modric is an outstanding player and in my opinion he is at this time one of the best midfielders in the world."
Modric joined Spurs from Dinamo Zagreb for £16.5m in 2008.
