Sporting Lisbon have reportedly turned down an approach from Tottenham Hotspur for Bruno Fernandes.
The Portugal international has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League this summer.
Indeed, Manchester United have been credited with an interest over the last few weeks, while Tottenham are said to be interested in landing the 24-year-old ahead of the new campaign.
According to RTP, though, Sporting have rejected an offer from Spurs, which was some distance from the Portuguese club's £64m valuation.
Fernandes, who is expected to represent Sporting against Benfica in the Portuguese Super Cup this weekend, scored 32 times at club level during an impressive 2018-19 season.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are also believed to be facing the possibility of missing out on a deal for Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon ahead of the new campaign.
