Mark Hughes has said that he is "frustrated" that his side only managed a 1-1 draw at Cardiff City this afternoon.
Marko Arnautovic's penalty on the stroke of half time was cancelled out by a spot kick by Peter Whittingham shortly after the break at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Hughes said after the game that his side should have gone on to take all three points given the "control" they had of the game.
"We are frustrated given the chances we had at the end," Hughes told BBC Sport.
"We thought the penalty against us was soft. Cardiff will say similar with regards to our penalty, but I dispute that.
"We are disappointed that we didn't win given the control we had. We could not make it maximum points, but we move on."
A point wasn't enough to lift Stoke City above Newcastle United into ninth in the Premier League table.
