Stoke City have announced that defender Robert Huth has suspected meningitis.
The 27-year-old was admitted to hospital on Monday after suffering from a virus at training.
"The club can confirm that Robert Huth has suspected meningitis and that they are awaiting the outcome of further tests," the club tweeted.
Huth joined the Potters from Middlesbrough in 2009 for £5m.
