Erik Pieters has claimed that Stoke City's defeat to Liverpool at Anfield was a "harsh result" on the Potters.
Glen Johnson scored an 86th-minute winner to give the Reds their first win in five matches in all competitions.
Pieters told the club's website: "I thought we played very well, we were organised in the first half but in the end we lost control.
"We seemed to get a little stressed and it was a harsh result for us to take because we deserved something from the game. I think we showed great character and I also think a lot of people will see that we have the potential to beat the bigger clubs.
"We are back in training straight away, we get the dirt out of our legs after yesterday's game and we prepare straight away for our game at Manchester United on Tuesday."
The result leaves Stoke 12th in the table, one place behind Liverpool.
