Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has blasted social networking site Twitter for the circumstances surrounding Peter Crouch's house being burgled this week.
News of the striker being spotted at a hospital quickly spread on the site and 24 hours later his house was burgled.
"We don't want people being alerted as to a player's whereabouts," Pulis said.
"It's not just the player's security, it's the wives and girlfriends as well. How do you stop it? I don't know.
"Social networking is new to me and it's something I still can't get my head around."
Crouch, who was visiting hospital with headache complaints, is expected to be fit for the Potters' Boxing Day clash with Aston Villa.
